No need to reinvent the wheel!

I was struggling with a morning routine and early finishers. The morning work resource was excellent to give relevant problems to what we were currently working on to have students complete in the morning. The monthly packets have also helped with my early finishers to keep them productive instead of getting into trouble. The packets have also been helpful for when I’ve needed to get a sub. I don’t need to reinvent the wheel. There are many resources at my disposal that I can use to better my practice and make teaching a little less stressful.

So many great resources!

It is hard to find high-interest texts that practice skills students need for state testing. My grade level team was originally drawn to the site because we saw the non-fiction paired comprehension and writing resources and the morning ELA warm-ups. This site has so many great resources! I love everything that I have used from it so far. My latest awesome find was the "Shades of Meaning" task cards.

I love the paired passages!

I was struggling with finding great things for math and reading. I had just moved to 3rd from 6th and needed to find things for my students. It was frustrating because I wanted my kids to succeed but I was new to the curriculum and new to the standards. I loved and still love the morning work for the math and reading. I love the writing with the paired passages because there isn’t much out there that I have found to be useful. Usually I find writing with prompts and not a text and kids in 3rd take state writing test where they have to read texts and then write about them.
